I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I have a personal relationship with this disease unfortunately. My father started showing signs of the disease way before we noticed them. You see, he used to be silly when he was younger, so some of the odd behaviors he started to exhibit, we just thought were him being silly again. I will always wonder if we could have helped him more by figuring it out earlier. And quite honestly, I am afraid of growing older, because I don't want to travel the same path to death that he traveled. I am pledging now to do this walk every year until I can no longer walk it and to raise money until the disease is cured or I die, whichever comes first. Please help me fight this horrible disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
