Our Alzheimer's journey started in 2003 when Mom was diagnosed. Dad took excellent care of her! Ten years after her diagnosis, Dad was diagnosed. Fourteen years i spent in the Alz vacuum. It's as real today as it was then. I still wait for another emergency phone call. And there's still no cure. No daily TV briefings. No hundreds of scientists rushing to create a vaccine before election day. There's no recovery. The journey is brutal. Folks there are no survivor.....yet. I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
On behalf of Dick and Ethel, and the millions of others, thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
