Hi Everyone, as a lot of you know, my parents have been staying with us for sometime now. Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to move Mom into a memory care community. We struggled with this decision, but despite our best efforts, just could not provide her with the care she needed. As some of you may know, this disease is a monster. First , it steals your mind, then your dignity, and finally your ability to do even the simplest tasks that one might take for granted - Taking a shower, using the restroom and even eating. Watching a loved one erode slowly in this manner is heartbreaking. But, on a good day you will get glimpses into the person they used to be... Whether that is while watching the movie Grease, American Graffiti or any 80's John Candy/Dan Aykroyd movie. They are struggling to stay part of things. I normally don't ask for donations, but asking this one time for a very important cause that is so close to my heart.. Anything you can spare to help us fight this terrible disease would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance...
