I, myself, have had family members suffer from the disease and have watched others provide care for them. It's heartbreaking to watch your loved ones lose their memory. Caretakers are angels. They provide grace, peace and comfort to those suffering from Alzheimer's. Their patience is unmatched! But, they also suffer from emotional and mental stress, especially if they're taking care of a loved one. Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Why walk? In honor, memory, hope and to help your own brain! One study, published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, looked at blood flow to the brain over a year's worth of aerobic exercise. The exercise group saw an astounding 47% improvement in memory scores of individuals who already had memory issues to begin with.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I look forward to the day we celebrate the first survivor of alzheimer's disease.
