I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. I am doing this in memory of my Nana and Grandma Bobbie! We lived with my Nana a lot as I was growing up so she was like a third parent to me. And Grandma Bobbie was my adventure loving let's head to Busch Gardens for the rollercoasters in the convertible grandma. It was sad to see their minds deteriorate from this disease before they passed.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050.
