In 2012, Julie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the young age of 52. She was an inspiration in how she coped with her disease, but that doesn't mean it wasn't hard. It was. It was hard for her family and friends to watch her decline, it was hard on her daughters as they took on care responsibilities, and it was hard for Julie as she could no longer do the things she used to be able to. On May 5th Julie lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease but her vision for a world without this disease lives on through her daughters and through the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This disease greatly impacted her life and the life of those around her, but the worst part is, there's no cure or even any sort of treatment to slow the progression. This has to change! Please join Julie's family and friends on the Julie Strong team as they walk to honor her as part of her celebration of life and help achieve a better future without Alzheimer's.
If you would like to join the walk, you will need to register but it is free!
