First off, I encourage everyone to take a moment and share a hug, a smile, and a conversation with their loved ones. Life is too darn short.

The Charlie Robot Team is to not only support this special person, my dad but to support the many people who serve as caregivers like myself. 

The Alzheimer's Association to me is my go-to resource for support. I have attended workshops and classes which provide education about this disease. I also attend a monthly caregiver support group hosted by the Alzheimers Association. I have also called the 1-800 number at all hours of the day and night when my immediate support team is not around to talk.... when I need to vent... or cry and to seek to advice from the wonderful care specialist. 

I also volunteer with this organization. I am on the logistics committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This is something I am passionate about. I will be working behind the scenes to help organize and generate awareness for this great cause. As your team captain, I will be leading as well as learning and contributing to having a successful event. I hope you will join me.
