2022 marks 15 years since Marion Scharf, my paternal grandmother lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease. This is a picture of her attending my 40th birthday party. She was the first born of 9 children and spent a life time taking care of others. I am committed to finding a cure for this disease so no one else in my family will struggle with this terrible disease.
My work with the Alzheimer's Association in Health Systems aims to work with Primary Care Providers in reaching people at their earliest stage of dementia to ensure care and support for them and their loved ones early on.
We are excited to walk on Walk day and I intend to wear my Walk t-shirt and carry my Promise Garden flower to raise awareness and raise funds so my own children and grandchildren won't have to go down this road. Any amount of support you feel comfortable donating is a step in the right direction - won't you join me in this fight?
