I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

I am walking now for my sister (technically, “in-law” but in reality, “sista”). But as I walk I will also be thinking of my wonderful father in-law Phil, my kind and loving step father Mel, a warm and funny member of our former church family Betty and so many other great folks taken by this insidious monster of a disease that seems to mainly prey on the best of humanity.
