2021 Walk was a HUGE success! Thanks to my many generous supports, I was able to raise  $8176, exceeding my goal of $3000. The Walk itself is an inspiring day of shared experiences, hope that the cure will be found soon, compassion for each family dealing with the disease, and fond memories of those for whom we walk--my beloved Dave was with us every step of the way. 

Mu husband Dave passed away November 2016 after 5 years of progressive Alzheimer's disease. His last few months were spent in a wonderful, caring memory care facility, Primrose, in Santa Rosa. But he was declining rapidly and was bedridden for the last three months of his life. Not the way such an active and engaged man should have to survive. He never lost his smile and gentle self. We must find a cure for this horrible disease. The support I got during his illness and after his passing was so important in my getting through a most difficult time. 

We will once again honor his memory by walking as Dave's Gang October 8th . Dave's Gang is growing! Last year we surpassed our goal and raised  $30,733.11 and this year our goal is $24,000. We are a fun group of folks who enjoy each other's company. This year's Walk Day Experience will again be held according to Covid-19 safety guidelines so we have the option of joining the group event at Sonoma State University or walking in smaller groups in our own neighborhoods. More details will be forthcoming later in the year.
