As a caregiver for my mother during the last 8 years of her life, my passion for raising awareness in our community about Alzheimer's and other dementia won't stop. Alzheimer's has been prevalent on both of my parents' families for generations.
As a Dementia Caregiver Support Group Facilitator, I'm acutely aware how caregivers are especially challenged seeking to maintain some semblance of quality of life for their care partners while safeguarding their own health and well being.
