Jim was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2014, and we have traveled the journey together. I'm fortunate in that Jim still has a GREAT zest for life and is up for about anything. . He's always ready to go do something fun, including helping to pack food at FIND Food Bank and delivery food to the homebound. As the disease progresses, however, I find I am more & more in need of help--on how to handle situations, on where to find aides, on how to get respite myself. The pandemic has only made it more complicated for me and others in caregiving situations.
The Alzheimer's Association has provided me with a LOT of support, from basic information about Alzheimer's to a support group full of friends I've grown to love, from whom I've learned as they traveled the journey ahead of me. Now I try to help other caregivers who are just starting their journey.
The Alzheimer's Association also funds research, and although that research will probably not help Jim, it will help others.
Please give generously.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
