Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Hi, my name is Emily Linsley. I am the captain of Paddling for a Purpose. For years my team and I have kayaked for a cure.
This cause if very dear to my heart. Each day I wake up and go to work with seniors in the community. I see seniors of all ages and all abilities. Many have Alzheimer’s disease. The number of individuals diagnosed with this deadly disease continues to rise. In Wisconsin alone it is estimated that we will have 110 thousand people living with Alzheimer’s disease. And unlike other diagnosis’s, there is no proven cure for Alzheimer’s. Research in this field has been few and far between compared to other diseases.
We walk to raise awareness.
We walk to for research.
We walk for a cure.
We walk for the first survivor.
If you have felt moved to find a cure, want to fight for those living with this disease daily, and want to join a team that is all about working together, then please, join my team!
