Though Andy lost his long battle with Alzheimer's, his courage, dignity, and leadership in fighting this disease never wavered. This is Team Andy’s fifth year as part of the Upper Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's and I join family, friends, and others in honoring my husband, Andy, and so many other loved ones we have lost to this cruel disease.
There are more than 6 million families throughout the US who struggle with Alzheimer's and other dementia every day, and that number is growing. Yes, there has been considerable progress in finding ways to diagnose, prevent and one day even cure Alzheimer’s, but there is still a lot of hard and urgent work to be done. Please join Team Andy to help raise awareness and funds that will support research and programs for persons with dementia and their families. These families… and our families… need every one of us to join in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.
I hope you will walk with us on Saturday, October 2 but even if you are far away and can’t be with us, I hope you will register today to be part of Team Andy and walk wherever you are, with your own team of family and friends.
Please be part of the Movement to End Alzheimer's. Together we can do this. Let's make a difference in the fight to End Alzheimer’s.
Go Team Andy!
Love to All, Kathy
