I have the most wonderful group of people in my Peers and Partners Early Alzheimer's Support Group. With their permission I'm including a few pictures of them. We officially meet on monthly but they enjoy each other so much that they find ways to get together weekly to eat, dance, laugh, cry, laugh some more and love each other through this journey. They are all wonderful people just trying to make it through each day living with this devastating disease. No one deserves it. No one wants to give up their dreams, memories, future and hope because of Alzheimer's. This disease does not define the person anymore than my cancer defines me. But at the moment there are no cures, no prevention, and no real treatments. But together in my lifetime we can change that. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is October 16 this year. Please help me raise funds so that we can celebrate the first survivors - soon.
If you would like to join my team I would love to have you. Join the M&M's, or start your own team, or join another. It really is a fun, uplifting day.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
