My mom passed away September 25th 2017 after years with this horrible disease. This is my fourth year walking. It helps me take the sadness and anger of my missing her and bring it to a positlve.
My co-worker & friend Carrie Kopp's mom also lost her life last year from Alzheimer's. We walked together last year with our families calling our team "Marvelous Moms". This year we hope other friends and coworkers will join us to walk or make a donation to our team.
We know there are many of us who have been effected by Alzheimer's. We are committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
We need your support. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
