Alzheimer's is relentless! It slowly takes a vibrant personality and reduces their very existence. That is what it was like over thirteen plus years ago watching my incredibly personable, gregarious father fall to this dreadful disease! It started slowly but then before we knew it, dad was in an assisted living home, bound to a wheel chair and then later his bed. It was a long sad road. It is for my Bear that I walk again this year.
Our team in the past several years has been very successful because of the generous participation of family and friends. Even last year as a virtual event our team raised a considerable amount of money. Join us this year. We will be a part of leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Beaumont Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. The walk this year is IN PERSON not virtual and will serve as a physical reminder of the need to extinguish this disease by raising funds and awareness! Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. And please, join us and walk on October
16th to support Team Bears and Podsy!!
