As time passes and we move towards enjoying life, sometimes we get an opportunity to change directions. That change may bring us new friends, new events, or just a new view of life. With any change, it allows you to view our friends and love ones in a new light, hoping for the best happenings in each day.
The Woodlands support group has participated in the memory walk for many years. The original team name was “Tammy’s Troops”, named after one of our members, Tammy Turner, who was sadly struck and killed by a drunk driver. Many years have passed, and we’ve now been given an opportunity to change directions and help support Troy & Sandra Oney, members of our group who bravely face their daily challenges with dementia head on! Troy generously offered to let our Tammy’s Troops caterpillar morph into a new stage, becoming part of his team, Yellow Butterfly!
Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 is the annual WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S in the Woodlands. The Oney family and the Woodlands Alzheimer’s Support Group will be acknowledging this event and be participating in various physically-distanced ways. We want you to ‘join’ us! You can do this by either becoming a walker with Yellow Butterfly or by donating to our team. No donation to this deadly disease is too small, and all of your contributions will be greatly appreciated. The cure will be found and we pray every day that success comes to those who are trying so hard to reverse this killing disease. Your donation or participation is and will be used for great things!!
Thank you so much
Troy & Sandra Oney
