Three years ago, I lost my Grandmother to Alzheimer's disease. She was the most kind hearted person I have ever met in my life. She was always devoted to our family and constantly helping others in her community. I aspire to be as amazing as her one day. Losing her was truly the most difficult thing I have ever gone through. I don't ever want others to have to feel the pain of losing a loved one to Alzheimer's disease. By participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, I will be honoring not only my grandmother, but everyone who has lost a loved one to this disease. I miss her everyday. I am truly blessed to be given the opportunity to honor her and help fight against this disease. I will forever treasure the memories I made with her, may she rest in peace.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
