My precious mother, Betsy White, battled Alzheimer's Disease for several years. Sadly, she passed away December 13, 2020. Mom had been in a nursing home for over three years. It was so hard to watch her mind and body slowly succumb to this disease. If you knew my mom, you know she loved to dress nice, play bridge, tell jokes, work crossword puzzles, read books, watch movies, and go to shows at TPAC with her friends. The last years of her life she didn’t care about any of those things. She did remember me, my dad and my brothers until the end, but no one or nothing else.
It's too late to help my mom, but it's not too late to help the next generations fight the progress of Alzheimer's Disease.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association or join my team and walk with me in Nashville on November 6th!
