I lost my dad, Gary Springer, to dementia last spring, after years of battling this devastating disease. As a loving father, husband and much-admired granddaddy, he planned to spend his retirement years enjoying quality time with his family and friends. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with dementia and forced to retire. His quality time ran out too soon. His plans for the future were stripped away along with his memories of the past.
Alzheimer’s, which is the most expensive disease in America, is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Today more than 5 million Americans are living with this disease that currently can’t be prevented, cured or slowed. Let’s change that! I’m committed to raising awareness and funds to support Alzheimer’s research and I need your help.
In honor and memory of Gary Springer and the millions of others afflicted with this dreadful disease, join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on November 7, 2020 and make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Thank you for joining me in the fight to end Alzheimer’s!
