The sweetest, kindest, and most loving person I have ever known is my mom, Judy Hudzik. At the age of 58, my mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, and for the past 7+ years, we have watched her deteriorate to the point where she no longer knows who she is, who we are, where she is, etc. Physically, she appears to be the same person, but the disease has taken her from us, from her friends, and from all of her loved ones. This story is sad, and it is truly the hardest thing that I have ever gone through in my entire life; however, I am not alone. There are millions of caregivers and loved ones who are dealing with the same issues as me. I walk for my mom, I walk for my family, and I walk for all of those out there who have been affected by this disease. It may be too late to save my mom, but it is not too late to find a cure and save others! Let's walk together and support the Alzheimer's Association's goal of finding a cure!!!
