Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we.
We walk to honor our father, Woody Wilson and his siblings who have faced this horrible disease. We will carry on the memories for them. Sadly, we lost our dad this year.
Woody was a 20 year veteran of the Air Force served our country and showed his family the world. A Viet Nam Veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart, with his own heart of gold. He served his church as a pastor and together he and His wife Carol taught their children the importance of hard work and respect. A husband and father, a grandfather and great grandfather and a friend to countless others. His story may be a common one, but we walk in hopes that it becomes rare.
As one of nine children, he’s was not the first of his family to feel the struggle that Alzheimer’s has brought. We certainly hope that he’s the last.
Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Do it for all Alzheimer’s patients...we will do it for Woody.
