Alzheimer's is still affecting millions of people. Moms, dads, sisters, brothers, loved ones and friends. I lost my mom on July 25th, 2019 to this disease and not a day goes by that I don't think of her and wish I'd had just one more day. Now this disease is affecting me. I was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease in August of 2021. We need a cure. Watching my mom disappear into an unknown world where she wasn't my mom anymore was almost more than I could bare. But you can help.
I'm walking in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® to honor my mom. I'm walking so that one day children won't have to watch their parents slowly disappear into a world we can't imagine. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Please consider joining us on this walk or donating to help find a cure. On behalf of my mom, "Sassy" Sally, thank you. Please click this link to help: http://act.alz.org/goto/MacLean
