I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. I am doing this because I have seen very personally how dementia in any of its forms can effect a loved one and the family as well.
I have lost friends to dementia. Most recently I have lost my dear friend and sister-in-aw Rita Scott. I've known her since we were both in our late teens, married brothers and raised our families and kept them close.
Rita was a dedicated wife and mother, a devoted teacher. She was on the leading edge of any new technical development. She was bright with a great sense of humor.
she will always be missed, but always remembered.
