I know first hand what the terrible disease of Alzheimer can do to someone. My Mom who taught me to be the best person I can be and gave me all my strength, I saw dramatically change in front of my eyes. First my mom saw things that were not there. Then she began to lose her memory and didn't know her own house. Finally, my mom needed help doing daily activities like getting dressed and wasn't able to walk anymore. My mom was married for seventy years and had six children. She loved my father very much and was the best mom. Those last years watching her slowly taken away from me because of the Alzheimer's Disease is NOT A MEMORY I would want anyone to have. That was NOT MY MOTHER. It is very scary and painful to lose someone to Alzheimer and we need to fight for a cure.
