My inspiration to participate in the walk to end Alzheimer's disease comes from the inspiration for most things in my life: my mother, Jane. She has taught me what it means to be generous and kind. Her life has been dedicated to helping and educating others. Some of my earliest memories with her are riding in the back seat of the car while she delivered meals to the elderly. She was passionate about volunteering and helping the underserved. My mother worked hard her entire life to help build her family, support my father's business, and still found time to enjoy the little things. She was an avid reader, a lover of all desserts (and still is!), a former synchronized swimmer and a fan of the Lawrence Welk Show... (we won't hold that against her!).
Since my mother's diagnosis, our family has struggled with the heartbreaking reality of this disease. But within this struggle, we have also rallied to support her, and now, we are asking for your support.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
