Dear friends and family,
Most of you know I'm walking because my husband passed away due to Lewy Body Dementia in June 2017. His brother passed away from another kind of Dementia the year before. Alzheimer's is just the most common form of Dementia. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research for new medications and support from the Alzheimer's Association for our descendants and anyone that has to deal with this terrible disease. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our children and grandchildren are at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. There are currently NO survivors of Alzheimer's or any other Dementia! It's time to change that statistic!!!The WALK this year is Saturday, October 9th in Prominade Park in Toledo. Please join us. Covid guidelines will be followed with social distancing and wearing masks.
Donations can be brought that day, given on this website or mailed to me.
Our team name is "ALAN'S ALLIES".
Thank you in advance for coming to walk, for your donations, and for your prayers. -Carol
