Almost 15 years ago, we lost a very special person and friend, my dad, to this terrible disease. My dad was a loving, friendly, helpful man who was active with golf, bowling, gardening, and family life. Slowly over the years, Alzheimer's robbed him of his golden years. He lost the ability to do the everyday things that we all take for granted. We had to slowly watch him slip away from us. Although he fought as hard as he could to fight this dreaded disease, Alzheimer's won the battle and in 2004, we lost someone we loved very much, and an important part of our family.
It is too late to help my dad and the others we have lost, but it isn't too late to work together to find a cure. Along with research for a cure, the Alzheimer's Association also provides much needed support, info, and guidance to those who find themselves in the throes of this disease. We do not want others to have their lives changed by this disease so we are walking to reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2019 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's,we're committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
We need your support to do our part! Please join our team and walk with us September 14, 2019! If you cannot walk with us, please donate to my page. If you can't or don't wish to do either, please at least think of us and those affected by Alzheimer's that day. Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.Your support is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
