I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of my mother, Mary Lynn Schwab. I will always be in awe of her compassion, courage and patience. This no more evident than in her final years. It's hard to put into words what this disease does to a family and even harder for those inflicted with it. It robs ones memories, dignity and finally their humanity. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember her devotion and love for us all. How devastating it would be for me to lose the memory of her laughter and love due to this horrible disease. From my mother and all out there that have felt the impact of Alzheimer's, I thank you most sincerely for your support and kindness. As always, all my best to you.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
