The transition into the Executive Director at the Alzheimer's Association position over the last few weeks has been as seamless as it can be during a pandemic. I am thrilled to be part of an organization with such an impactful mission, passionate and dedicated volunteers and phenomenal staff.
This is a really busy time at the Alzheimer's Association as we are well into the heart of "Walk Season!" And of course we continue to work tirelessly to make sure families who need our support know we are here for them during this very difficult time. September is World Alzheimer's Month, when people all over the globe come together to shine a spotlight on Alzheimer's disease. Every day we're working hard toward our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. We continue to make progress, but still have more work to do! This is for you Grannie Walker!
On August 24, I’m starting the next chapter of my career as the new Community Executive Director for the Cleveland Alzheimer Association. I’m thrilled to dig my heels in to learn more and help expand into the community about this devastating disease but I’m more in awe of all the wonderful services we provide.
I hope you will support me as I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® On Sunday, October 4. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. I need your help!
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
