Our Goal

We're walking in 2021 — and we invite you to join us.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are our top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, we ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.

We will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees. If you prefer to Walk From Home, you can still engage in many Walk-day experiences through our mobile app.

In addition to the current Champions Club rewards you'll receive a mission pin when you achieve champions status (Raising or donating $500 individually). Are you ready for some baseball?
Announcing the 2021 Batter-Up Team Captain Walk Challenge where you could earn an awesome baseball t-shirt, shown in the image below. BONUS: The shirt will have the team names of all the home run hitting team captains for the entire state of Ohio!

So get out your Big League chew, tie your shoes tight and get ready to run the bases to knock ALZ out of the park! Challenge begins Monday, May 24, and runs through Friday, June 25. Already started your team? Then you have been walked and on first base! Great job! .

Here’s how it works:

To earn your special edition team captain baseball tee, you need to work your way around the infield. You will need to complete specific challenges to advance around the bases.

To get on first base, you need to register as a Team Captain for the 2021 Walk!
To advance to second base you need to personalize your Walk page. Tell us why you walk; you can even add a photo.
Third base will test your skills by spreading awareness and recruiting five walkers to your team.

Let’s hit the field! The challenge runs until June 25, 2021. Once you've completed all challenges and made your way to home plate, you've earned your shirt (nice job MVP).

Show Your Love Banner

The promise garden flower is a signature symbol of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as it illustrates the various connections our community has to the cause. As we kick off our 2021 event, we need you to SHOW YOUR LOVE for those navigating this disease. We are asking you to support the mission and register for the Delaware Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Sign up and make a $35 self-donation by February 14, 2021 to earn a promise garden flower pin in the color of your choice. This pin is a symbol you can wear all year long to show your support of the Alzheimer’s Association. Register by clicking the link above TODAY!

The Promise Garden is a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent participants’ connection to Alzheimer’s - their reasons to end the disease.
Blue: someone with Alzheimer’s
Purple: an individual who has lost someone to the disease
Yellow: a person who is currently supporting or caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s
Orange: a participant who supports the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and other dementia.
