Alzheimer’s disease (and now the Covid-19 virus/pandemic) are relentless. BUT so are we... Thank you Alzheimer's Association for again moving forward and continuing this walk; HOPEFUL THAT WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GATHER AS A SLIGHTLY LARGER group and not just semi-virtually this year 2021...
Last year was an amazing feeling of accomplishment, that we were still able to raise awareness for this great cause in the midst of a global pandemic; and I truly thank all my family, friends and benefactors... Without all of you, we couldn't have support the Alzheimer's Association, a cause that's very dear to the Libby Family and my own heart. It will again be an honor and privilege to lead our Team and Community in support of Alzheimer's Awareness; May we be one step closer to that cure, and that easier life for many...
Even if we still have to do a semi-virtual walk here in our community of Beacon, or God willing be able to gather as a whole with the Hudson Valley Chapter in Highland/Poughkeepie to walk the Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge; JOIN US, ANY LITTLE BIT HELPS, to reach our goal.
Stay tuned (to whatever current restrictions will be, due to the Covid-19 virus) whether our efforts will be virtual, semi-virtual again and walk around our beautiful Beacon Streets, or back at the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie... PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING OUR EFFORTS BY CONTRIBUTING TO OUR FUND CAMPAIGN, any amount would be greatly appreciated...
The Libby Funeral & Cremation Services (Libby Funeral Home) Team; affectionately we will be known as: Friends of Harrison & LIBBY (Funeral Home); this year will be the 6th Anniversary of Harrison Libby's death. As always it's personally an honor to continue his legacy of serving the communities of Beacon and the Southern Dutchess area; and it too is a privilege to Walk in his name for this cause of finding a cure for the disease of Alzheimer's... This year we add Harrison's wife Cindy, who passed away back on April 12, 2021... She was soo very proud when we started walking in her husband's memory, and now it truly will be another honor to walk in Her Name... God bless her, and keep her! ❤
On a personal note, I will also he walking for my family, extended family & friends who are suffering; The Funeral Home will also be walking for those families that we served during the past-year at Libby's. And please consider sponsoring our team with a contribution, to help us meet our pledge goal. Last year we made it over our goal of $2,000, $2,663 to be exact; let's meet that and then some... If you are unable to give and much rather come and walk, please come and join us, WE ALWAYS WELCOME! Saturday October 16th 2021 at the **starting point TBA** ... Hoping for a beautiful day!
