My husband Joe developed Alzheimer's in his 50's and died at the age of 69. He was a brilliant, funny, compassionate, supportive, and loving husband and father. The devastating toll that this disease took on his mind, body and personality were truly heartbreaking. My team is walking again this year to show our support and the need for increased resources and attention to this disease. I pray for the day that we will no longer have to see a loved one deteriorate from this disease.
