This year I am walking in memory of my mom, Sharon Munro who passed away Jan. 9th, 2021. She lived with Alzheimer's for over 13 years. She was a RN at Bergan Mercy Hospital for 25 years in ICU. She worked the grave yard shift from 11 pm -7 am. She and my dad raised 9 kids and she always managed to have dinner on the table every night at 5:30! She loved cooking, sewing, playing bridge, and caring for others as well as her family. She has always been my role model. She was smart, determined, and always put others before herself. Alzheimer's Disease took her away from us this year. The disease also took away the wonderful things my mom used to love and do well. I am grateful for her ever day and for the woman she was to our family and friends. On May 2nd I ran the Lincoln Half Marathon in her memory. Each mile represented each year mom lived with AD. On July 10th I will run another 13 miles for each year my mom lived with Alzheimer's Disease. Please consider donating to this cause to eliminate Alzheimer's disease. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you. Jenny
