MY DAD, MY HERO
iN HONOR OF cLYDE "BUD" PERKINS
October 5, 1941 to January 23, 2019
First, I must say I am truly blessed to be the daughter of such an amazing man. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and smile. Sometimes I wonder how his life would have been different if he had not been an Alzheimer's patient. I was so blessed to have so much quality time with my dad during his last several months here on earth. He was placed in a Memory Care unit at Park Health Nursing home in St. Clairsville, OH where he received such amazing care. The staff truly love each and every one of their residents.
When my dad left this earth I made it my mission and my goal to work in memory care and make a difference to my best ability.
I am proudly working now at Bradley Creek as the memory support/high needs area director. It has been so rewarding and I see so many residents that have that same smile as my dad. I truly love each and every one of them and I will always be their advocate. Each and every one of them know that I will do my best to remember for them.
This walk means more to me than just a walk. It truly is a walk to remember.
