We believe that community begins at home.  So, we're making the fight to end Alzheimer's our family project - making personal commitments to finding a cure for this disease that affects so many in our community.

No one in our family currently has Alzheimer's, but our older family members worry about it, and frankly, we worry about it.  That is what makes Alzheimer's disease so daunting.

Beyond the statistics, we've heard the heartbreaking stories of the devastating effects Alzheimer's has had on our friends, colleagues, clients and their families.

Alzheimer's steals your health, your wealth, and perhaps worst of all, it robs you of your memories and your relationships.  It takes a human, emotional and financial toll on even the strongest families.  That's why getting our family involved in supporting this cause is so important to us.

Our family spans generations and households across the country, and around the world.  So we thought the easiest way to rally the troops was to create a Walk to End Alzheimer's web page.  This site will help our family raise money and raise awareness to support the Alzheimer's Association.

To get the ball rolling. . .

  • We signed up for a Walk to End Alzheimer's team called "One Step Closer" - and our kids - Sam & Katherine Rose - are enthusiastically joining us.
  • Our family has committed to doing more than 6 million steps in 2021, representing the number of Americans living with Alzheimer's today.
  • Our goal is to raise $60,000 - one penny for each person impacted across the US.  Our family will match a total of $30,000 towards our goal

We will reach out to our family Walk team throughout the year to keep everyone up to date on our progress - and encourage maximum participation - until we come together for the big event in our hometown:  The St. Louis Walk to End Alzheimer's in October.

Taking the fight to end Alzheimer's is our family's way of living our values through our philanthropic efforts, and the Walk to End Alzheimer's is also a great way for our family to collaborate on our service project for 2021,

Join us in the the fight to end Alzheimer's.  Together, we will accelerate research towards methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure and provide care and support to those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers.  #ENDALZ
