I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
While my dad, John Ostanik, lost his battle against Alzheimer's on February 17, 2021, I hope to continue his fight to fund research for a future end to this terrible disease. I often considered his illness a gift of time to make memories and cherish the time we had together but it is devastating to gradually lose a person you love over the years. For me, it was definitely the network of wonderful friends and family that kept our spirits strong. So I hope I can keep up this fight for other families enduring the same struggle for years to come.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
