This will be the second year I am walking to honor my mother, Judy, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's related dementia in the spring of 2019. We do suspect, however, that she had been living with it for a few years. It is hard to explain to someone who has not been through this savage journey, but I have hope that some day, we will find a cure. When that day comes, we will celebrate as young and old will not have to walk with their loved one through the nightmare that is Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer's isn't stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R), I'm raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease -- funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association(R) to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia need us now more than ever -- and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
