He was 'officially' diagnosed with early-onset AD at 54 years old, 17 years ago, in 2004. Once diagnosed, we realized that there were signs that we could recall as early as 1998.
There was not a cure in time for David but we fundraise so that others will not have to experience the devastation of this disease. (He passed, peacefully, with us by his side, on October 11, 2019.)
David's Dream Team will be participating in the Detroit Walk to End Alzheimer's this year on October 30. Once again, it will be virtual with your own 'walk in your neighborhood'. (I look forward to when we can walk, once again, together.) We walk in SUPPORT OF and in MEMORY OF those with Alzheimer's disease. Please let us know if you would like your loved ones' names added to our signs for this year's Walk.
We need your support to help find a cure for AD. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments, and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
We continue to be thankful for their services as they help our family and friends.
