I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. My mother passed away from this terrible disease in September of 2018. During her time with this disease, my family had experienced the emotional, financial and physical drain that it places on any family afflicted with it. The fear for safety, the time commitment, and emotional roller coaster that the disease imparts tears away at the fabric of the family. Not to mention the sea of red tape at the State level if you ever need assistance. By walking and raising money I hope to make it easier for the next family who is diagnosed and for them to get help and hopefully a cure quicker.
But it all starts with people helping people and raising money for research to help combat this disease. So many lives are forever altered due to Alzheimer's. Let's work hard to help stop this now and restore the promise of a day without worrying about forgetting your loved ones.
By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
