Our team is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to fight this horrendous disease that took Grandpa Hank away from us way too early. He was a very active 73 year-old when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and fought a 6-year long battle until it took him in 2001.
Those six years were confusing, frustrating and sad for all of us. It would have been more manageable had we had the resources that are available today: In-home care, support programs, online resources, advanced research and professional care - a direct result of our fundraising efforts - that we need to continue to contribute to.
