On October 3, 2015, our team, Patricia’s Emeralds banded together and walked on behalf of Patricia – our sister, mother, aunt, and friend. Although Patricia’s condition had already rapidly advanced in such a short time, she was still hanging in there.
Sadly, Patricia’s condition diminished rapidly. She succumbed to the ravages of Alzheimer’s on November 27, 2015. We lost her at such a young age – only 66 years young. Losing her has left us all with a huge hole in our hearts and souls. Missing her is the greatest understatement to be made.
This year, Patricia’s Emeralds walks again in Honor of Patricia. We gather together on 2021 once again to Honor our loved ones as we join all those who are involved in this fight to end this miserable, life-altering, debilitating and despicable disease.
A CURE IS NEEDED!! BETTER TREATMENT IS NECESSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!
This year, we are again reminded of many losses - Patricia lost her beautiful daughter at the incredibly young age of 12 - with this year marking the 22 'anniversary' of the loss of our precious Megan. I believe Megan and Patricia are together, and are lovingly glancing down upon us.
On June 20, 2020, my mother Evelyn succumbed to her battles, but at 95 years, she sure did have a good long run! I know she joined her children and other family who were waiting a long time for her arrival.
Any way you can help is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Together, we need to Honor our beloved family and friends, and prevent this disease from taking anyone else. THANK YOU!
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
