Our Goal

We're walking in 2021 — and we invite you to join us.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are our top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, we ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.

We will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees. If you prefer to Walk From Home, you can still engage in many Walk-day experiences through our mobile app.

News and Announcements

Ceremony Begins at 10:00am

We're walking in 2021 — and we invite you to join us.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us in person at the Little Harbour School on September 26th, or Walk From Home in your neighborhood - whichever option makes you ore comfortable. No matter how or where you choose to participate, please know that your health and safety are our top priorities. The awareness and funds you raise today support our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

We have put several safety protocols into place, including:

  • Our route will open at 8:30 am, so Walkers can start and complete their Walk before or after our shortened Promise Garden Ceremony.

  • We’re encouraging all attendees to socially distance themselves and to use hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the site. Masks will also be available.

  • Walk day will be as contactless as possible, encouraging all attendees to register and turn in donations in advance using the mobile app or via QR codes on site.

  • Those who raise $150+ will receive all qualifying items in the mail including t-shirts and your Champions medal. There will not be any shirts/medals handed out/available on Walk Day.

  • We ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when you are unable to physically distance.

We will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees. If you prefer to Walk From Home, you can still engage in many Walk-day experiences through our mobile app including:

  • A pre-recorded opening and Promise Garden Ceremony.

  • An augmented reality (AR) Promise Garden that allows you to select a flower representing your connection to the disease and plant it among others.

  • A route map to track your at-home Walk, including AR start and finish lines.

  • Download the app today: App Store | Google Play.

Still have questions about Walk Day?  Join us at the Walk Pep Rally on September 9th from 9:30-10:00 am.  We will review these protocols and more plus we will answer any questions you may have.  Register in advance for this zoom meeting by clicking here.  After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
