My name is Kaylin Ray and I am deeply passionate about geriatrics, specifically those living with Alzheimer's disease as well as other forms of dementia. I am currently the Director of Entertainment & Programming at Park Meadows Senior Living in Overland Park, Kansas. I have worked in geriatrics since 2009 and served in 6 communities including Park Meadows.
Not only do I have the privilege of serving in Memory Care at Park Meadows, but I have also lived with Alzheimer's at home.
In March of 2018 I became the full time caregiver of a family member who had Alzheimer's disease. Marie and I lived together for 18 months and it was a challenging, but unforgettable journey.
In 2019 I pushed Marie the entire walk in her wheelchair & we honored her not knowing how many walks she would be able to attend.
Marie passed in February of 2020, and while she may not be with me anymore physically, I will continue to walk in her honor and raise funds to fight this disease that affects so many.
I will continue to walk for Marie, as well as every person I have ever been honored to serve throughout their battle with Alzheimer's.
Having spent 12+ years serving those battling this disease as well as their families, and living it on a daily basis, I am fighting hard to raise funds to end this disease!
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
