News and Announcements

This year to help eliminate as much crowding as possible the event will be structured as a
come-and-go style event. The route will be open from 8:00 - 11:00 AM.

There will be a shortened Promise Garden Ceremony at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 AM.
All ceremonies will be the same, but this will allow more flexibility and help reduce large gatherings. So, make Walk Day work for you and your team.

We ask all participants to be registered PRIOR to arriving at Walk. You can register If you have donations in check format, please consider using the mobile app and the mobile deposit tool. Use the QR code below to download the App. We are trying to keep contact to a minimum. No t-shirts or Champion Club-related materials will be available for pick up at Walk, as all of those are mailed directly to the participant.

WSU Parking2021 WSU Route Map

Here is a map of available parking on Wichita State University Campus. The lot highlighting in yellow on the route map, Lot 7 - the parking lot just to the south of the Rhatigan Student Center will be used as a loading/unloading zone. The parking garage will be available but it is pay to park, even on the weekends.

All bathrooms will be found inside of the Rhatigan Student Center at Wichita State University. WSU's mask policy is strongly recommended. Both the Alzheimer's Association and WSU have disposable masks available on Walk Day.

The path is dog-friendly and runs about 3/4 of a mile. If you would like to bring your 4-legged friend with you, you are more than welcome to do so. However, please keep in mind, dogs are NOT allowed inside the Rhatigan Student Center.
