I’ve been advocating for Alzheimer’s awareness since my husband, Larry, was diagnosed in 2015.
Money Concepts International and Circle Financial Planning, Inc. have matched gifts between $5000 and $7000 each year in this quest. Watching the slow decay and caring for a spouse with Alzheimer’s is the most emotionally challenging thing anyone could imagine. Caring for that loved one during a pandemic is exponentially more difficult.
Larry lost the battle to Alzheimer’s in March of this year and while I had every intention to spearhead a fundraiser again this year, I just couldn’t muster the energy. I was visiting with a lady from my support group that also lost her husband during the pandemic. She said her doctor told her it was like suffering PTSD. I don’t have words to describe what it’s been like, but that description probably comes the closest.
When I came across this video on YouTube a voice in my head said “Becky… Be a leader… Find the strength to at least share this video.” So I’m sharing it with you in the link below and ask you to take 7 minutes to listen to it as a personal favor to me. It shares some facts that I believe everyone should know and explains why we need people like you to help in this cause.
Circle Financial Planning, Inc. will be donating $7000 unconditionally this year. Many of you have made memorial gifts to honor Larry which I very much appreciate. I do plan to join the "Walk to end Alzheimer’s" in Indianapolis on Saturday, October 2. I invite you to join me by becoming a member of my team by simply clicking on the link below. You can also use the link below to donate to the cause of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
We’ve raised $21,000 the past 2 years…. It would be amazing if you could help us do that again!
