Over time, I have watched my grandparents' and great-grandparents' memories atrophy, causing unintentional pain to those who shared many cherished experiences with them. To face your loved one forgetting who you are is devastating; to watch as they forget themselves is heartbreaking. I am walking for my great-grandma, Ruth Nally, and my grandparents, Tom and Elsie Higginbotham, to honor their memories and fight for a cure in hopes that one day, no one will endure this disease again.
