We lost my grandma Bevie on February 2, 2017.  Her battle with this horrible disease was devastating to witness over the years before her passing.  What I would have given for her to remember I was her granddaughter or more so that my mother was her daughter for even just a single moment.  I miss her so much and think of her on a daily basis. My Aunt Kristi's husband,  Rick, now battles this disease since his early onset diagnosis. So my family's fight continues!

I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
