June 2021 is the first sign of hope for battling Alzheimer_s. A new medication. The first to actually fight Alzheimer's and not just slow down the progression like the other current medications. While the drug has some potentially serious side effects, it at least is forward motion to a day when there is a cure. As I mentioned the strong prevalence in my family, I worry for us all, and I selfishly worry for myself. How much longer do I have until it happens to me? When will I start forgetting more than what I watched on tv last night (sometimes it is even during the commercials). Please help in any way you can. Progress can be made. Profess will be made. End Alzheimer's.
Many of you know my Grandpa Bowen beat his battle with Alzheimer's disease July 28, 2017. No longer will he struggle. No longer will he suffer. He is free to farm, play music, sing, cheer on the Hoosiers, and use his beautiful mind. I can think of no better way to pay tribute to him than to donate to an organization that has the goal to end Alzheimer's disease. If you are able to donate any amount, it is greatly appreciated by us all. Please join me in supporting this cause and demanding a world without Alzheimer's disease.
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R), I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
